Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP)

The Strategic Enrollment Plan is one of the most important expressions of the university’s overall institutional priorities.

This plan is a strategic response to the current and projected conditions of the marketplace and the larger regional, statewide and national context in which we operate and compete. It is important that the university’s values and aspirations be reflected in our enrollment plan.

The goal of the SEP process is to recommend a 5-year enrollment plan that identifies:

  • the number of students UB will serve;
  • the planned distribution of students enrolling by level, program, residency and background (gender, age, race/ethnicity); and
  • the strategies that will enable the recruitment and retention of this number and mix of students over this period

The plan document will provide the rationale for these recommendations and reflect a broad-based engagement of appropriate campus stakeholders.

A first draft of the recommended plan will be submitted to the provost by October 2015 with a final plan document being completed by December 2015. The senior leadership team will convene for a retreat at the end of October 2015 to review and discuss the progress of the draft strategic enrollment plan.
