Undergraduate Admissions

The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to recruit, select and enroll freshman and transfer students into undergraduate degree-granting programs at UB, and to meet the university enrollment targets. The staff conducts on-campus and off-campus events that convey to high school students and counselors the academic, social and cultural opportunities available to enrolled students.

  • Generating applications — focusing attention on communication and marketing efforts that continue to build the quantity and quality of applications, with strategic emphasis on the city of Buffalo and surrounding regions, metro New York and select out-of-state markets
  • Improving yield — thinking comprehensively about scholarships, staffing and recruitment activities, in collaboration with academic departments and other student affairs units, that improve the overall percentage of admitted students who enroll (yield).
