Experiential Learning Network (ELN)

The ELN is a dynamic resource for high-impact experiential learning.

The mission of the ELN is to provide students, who share similar goals and interest, an opportunity to enhance their growth on an academic, civic and personal level.

Students can explore credit-based experiences that take them outside the classroom and help them discover their unique passions, purpose and professional goals. They can connect with project-based learning, service and cultural engagement through:

  • UB Seminars.
  • Global Pathways courses.
  • Short-term study abroad.
  • Mentored research opportunities.
  • Independent studies.

In addition, the ELN offers resources, support and opportunities to faculty interested in bringing experiential learning to their classes through:

  • Infusion awards: Support for bringing high-impact learning practices to UB Seminars and other key courses.
  • Fellowship opportunities: Funding and programmatic support to incubate new courses with a focus on Global Pathways and short-term study abroad.
  • Center for Online International Learning (COIL): Connecting faculty with international partners for distance-based collaboration and opportunities.
  • Experiential learning course review and consultation.
